Magicians have been persecuted, killed and tormented by humans for centuries. Their hatred of humans has festered over time and been passed along with their magical abilities to their children. So intense is this hatred that it can be drawn on to strengthen injurous spells. But in spite of this anscestral animosity, when a magician named Lid is suspected of involvement in a murder he asks the police to call a human to collect him.

Lid has heard of Dan Torville, a human "unlike the others" and is looking forward to some time in the company of a human he can find no reason to hate. But Lid's brother, Syd is searching for him and leaving a trail of burned bodies in his wake. Syd isn't too keen on Lid's fondness for humans and seeks to avenge their mother by erasing him forever.

Meanwhile Torville remembers another boy he should have been able to protect... but couldn't. Can he atone for his grevious sin by protecting Lid now?

Vol 1 was done by Storm in Heaven and DokiDoki as a joint project a couple years ago i think since Dokidoki closed in 2008. SiH dropped the project and is closing too.
